The focus of my work is to translate the seasonal beauty of New England into simple forms and palettes. I hope my paintings evoke a calming sense of place, whether as a past memory or as a journey yet to be taken.

Maura is a contemporary landscape painter who spent many years of her career as an architectural designer in Boston. Now, as a full time artist, she brings a unique perspective to her art, blending many of the same principles of design with the fluid nature of landscapes. Her Boston studio is at SoWa Art and Design and she is a member of the Copley Society of Art. Her home in Vermont offers a perfect scenic backdrop for inspiration.
