Artist's Statement:

In my work of creating abstract monotypes and acrylic paintings, I am absorbed in the spontaneous and experimental process of mixing inks and paints and applying them in unconventional ways. Exploring art materials and techniques inspires new color combinations, compositions, and visual textures.

As an art instructor for twenty years, Patty takes great delight in not only her own creative process but that of her students too. She feels that creating art is a process that everyone should investigate and explore. For Patty, it is the dual process of teaching and painting that adds meaning to her life. Her abstract monoprints are shown in galleries in the Upper Valley and on Cape Cod.
